Speedboats and other fast-craft will get you to your destination fast, consuming large quantities of gasoline or diesel fuel, but if you have the need for speed then a speedboat will get you there faster than any sailing yacht.

You will usually need a trailer to help you launch and retrieve the speedboat from the water. A basic, galvanized steel trailer will usually be all you need. If you plan to tow the boat and trailer behind your car on public roads then you will need a special permit for your vehicle for installation of a towing hitch and you will need a bolt-on lights & license plate display board. You will also need an endorsement to your drivers license in order to legally drive your vehicle while towing a trailer. You should contact your nearest Land Transport ("LTO") office for the necessary permit, lights, display board specification and license endorsement.
